OLDE TYMES-HAPPY TYMES-FOR THE NEW TYMES
For the year 2000, Bev looks back to her beginning years of bearmaking. She decided to recreate her old 1985 pattern, into a nostalgic turn-of-the-century, bear revival. The original pattern had such a common, traditional appearance, that it held little interest for her. only three bears were made before it was filed away and she moved on. In this reborn version, Bev has created a distinct collection of traditional type bears, "Happy Tymes Style".
Jacob, Noah, Stephen and Elijah are great old names for these bears, and just happen to be the names of her four terrific grandsons also. Each is made from fine German mohair (the bears that is!) with wool felt pads. These uniquely different, huggable, 16-inch bruins have glass eyes, growlers, and are filed with polyfiberfil and glass beads.
Due to a recent interruption of my bear making activity (a broken right wrist), these limited editions of 25 each, will be completed throughout 2001.
 RAG-TAG is the fifth and final member of the Olde Tymes Teds. He is the Happy Tymes Annual Christmas Edition and for the first time this year will be produced as a Global Design.
